Pretty Candied Cranberries

For Thanksgiving I made some candied cranberries which sampled and got the idea from Whole Foods. I'm pretty sure the bag of cranberries I bought were not ripe enough, so I would sample your cranberries before going through the whole process...like I did. They still turned out pretty though!
First I made some simple syrup, which is 1 part boiling water and then add 2 parts sugar. I soaked the cranberries in the simple syrup for 24 hours, then drained and rinsed.
Then I let them dry on a baking sheet and coated them with powered sugar.
